Different patterns or attractive borders can be made by combining the
Sierra design with the Colorado design. Below are a few examples.

Our tiles use Loop and Pin connectors with between 3 and 5 slats of wood of various species attached to a plastic base with screws (screws may either be stainless steel or steel screws). Pins are molded on two sides of the bases and loops on on the other two sides to provide interconnectivity. The tile is not symmetrical so sides with loops sides must be locked to sides with pins.

Measure the area to be covered and calculate how many
tiles you'll need. (each standard tile covers 1 sq.ft.)

Start laying your tiles in your chosen pattern from one
corner of the area to be covered. Place the first tile in
position and then lock the adjacent tile in place by pushing
it down to engage the special connecting tabs on the
sides of each tile.

Continue adding tiles this way until the complete area is
covered and all the tiles are securely locked in place to
each adjacent tile.

Call all your friends to show off your grand new decking
and take more credit than you deserve for your speedy
DIY skills!

There's just one cautionary note. If you intend to build your own deck in the outdoors when the temperature is below minus 20ºC (minus 4ºF) due care
needs to be taken in clicking the tiles together as the polypropylene connecting tabs on the base can become increasingly brittle at very low temperatures.
